I've wondered if it's:
1) general lack of situational awareness, which seems common
2) the dust cloud thing
or
3) fear of parking scarcity and unwillingness to let anyone get to the parking ahead of them as a result, which is certainly more of a thing in the modern era
I suspect all three are at work out there in varying degrees with these folks

Be careful out there ...
From the video description: "On October 10, 2020, a parked Jeep Wrangler rolled off the Black Bear Pass road with a passenger and two dogs inside. This video shows the view from my Jeep of part of the accident. Note that at the time of this recording, there was no longer anyone in the Jeep as the passenger had already been ejected from the tumbling vehicle. The passenger survived, but sustained very serious injuries. (Both dogs were eventually found and are in good health.)"

Go placidly amid the noise and waste, and remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.

Whew! We drove up to Ophir Pass last summer and heard that Black Bear was far worse. No joke.

I saw my third serious spin out today on i90 in less than a week.
A sober reminder to keep speeds down in the rain.
