I love this thread. It makes me think differently when I hike and causes me to check assumptions that if I can't see animals, there aren't any. Thank you for sharing.
Question - the temperature reading typically ticks up a degree or two during the clip. Is this due to the battery under load?

Several times my camera has captured a hiker, trail runner or hunter, and then a few minutes / hours later a animal follows / crosses their same path. My camera has also captured the opposite situation.
Checking my cameras and comparing my time, to the time stamps on the camera image or video, I've discovered that I've missed bears, lions & wolves by minutes. I'm confident we've all been watched by wildlife far more times than we'll ever know.
The temperature reading on these Browning trail cameras is a manufacturing flaw and the biggest complaint by purchasers.

Those are beautiful tracks! It would be fantastic to capture video of those tracks being made. The gait on the right is a side trot, but I’d love to see how the lope/gallop on the left was produced.

These videos are all so fantastic, but I think that this latest series by the logging road is my favorite. In one location, there are so many different animals, both predators and prey, and you can see it sort of tell a story (not a very happy story for whomever ended up making that cougar's belly look notably larger!). And that video of the deer while it is snowing is truly magical. Thank you so much for sharing these!

I'm curious to hear if you've noticed an absence of cougar tracks when you find wolf tracks. I've been tracking both, as well as bear, in both OR and WA. I often find wolf and bear in the same vicinity, and lion and bear in the same vicinity. But when I find wolf tracks there are no lion tracks within miles. Have you had similar experience?

I'm seeing both wolf & lion on the same path, and sometimes sign appears to be equally as fresh.
For example. I found wolf sign a few days ago and went back to that area the following day and found fresh lion tracks. For some reason, coyotes don't appear to be intimidated by either the wolf or lions. I see coyote tracks most often and almost everywhere. A few pages back, I posted a video of a parent coyote and 2 of their young. A few dates later a pair of wolves walk down the same path. Interesting behavior

I doubt you would record more game in Alaska....but probably in the Serengeti!
In the Teanaway some of the creatures try to mess with your cameras. In the Serengeti they would mess with you! 😾
