With major storms hitting the Cascades this weekend, I'm looking for hiking suggestions that will be safer. Hit me with your best inclement weather ideas.

Head east young man?

Go placidly amid the noise and waste, and remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.

South side of the Olympic Penninsula. Middle Fork area. South of the Cascade volcanoes. I'm thinking about heading to Hurricane Ridge for some snowshoeing. Not sold on the idea though. Anyone have any better snowshoeing recommendations? Preferably outside of a sno-park.
