I'm hopeful that sledders will respect the closure without enforcement, much in the same way that most sledders respect the Wilderness boundaries in the same region. Just like any community, I'm sure that there will be some bad actors.
Count me among those who are pretty happy about this. I wouldn't say it's fun to skin through areas tracked up by sleds, but snow bikes are a whole 'nother story. Two years ago, snow bikes tracked out the entire Kangaroo Bowl at the hairpin. Skiing any of the slopes after that was like encountering a creek crossing every few seconds.

This is the way use designations have to be managed - by entire drainages. Otherwise it is much too easy to violate the rules. Still, in that motorized group there are some who think laws don't apply to them. I have seen tracks down Rainy Creek in a past year.

Inappropriate, Cyclpath. I'm not sure advocating violence belongs on this site.

You’re not sure, so maybe it does? Certainly you think all attempts at humor should be banned.

Is there any user group back country skiers don't have a conflict with?

Does this mean there will be entire drainages off-limits to skiers and snowshoes too?

Doesn't it take two to tango? Snowmobiles consume 10-20× as much land area as any other user group.

I'm not sure because I don't make the rules for nwhikers. I didn't think I had a problem with humor. I must've been in a bad mood to miss the funny part of shooting people.

It is approximate ratio of miles groomed xc ski trails to groomed snowmobile trails in the Washington sno-park system.
What is your measurement and how did you derive it?

Snowmobiles cover much more ground than X skiers so obviously they will need more space. Where I snowmobile up around Priest Lake, there are over 200 miles of groomed trails. There are also X country ski only trails and some where each occasionally co-exist. Can't we all just get along?
