Anyone have a brand they like for trailrunning?  Ive been going through them pretty quick these days, or at least repairing the chains often.  A lot of them, while they are great for walking, aren't really up to the higher forces of jogging and hopping over rocks/roots constantly.

I have some Ice Bugs Scandinavian ice running shoes that I got at a REI garage sale. They are like running shoes with short carbide spikes. Work great on frozen lakes and water ice. Ice running is a sport in Europe. Pretty pricy if not on sale though.

There are lots of track running shoes with replaceable spikes; most will take from 1/4, 3/8 or 1/2 inch long spike points.   Their are multiple cross country shoe brands with spikes, so you should be able to find good fit.

I can’t imagine micro-spikes holding up to for lots of running mileage.  The replacement track spikes are inexpensive.

Cross country shoes with spikes do give great traction on frozen ground, snow and ice.  However they are wretched on rocky trails.  Even the shortest cross country spikes are too long for running on a hard surface and will really beat up the ball of you foot.

I have no experience with these. Just saw your post and remembered seeing these on their site.
