We made it through this dumpster fire of a year. I hope 2021 is much better. Happy trails and scrambles to everyone! smile.gif

Hey I finally got up Jack Mtn after 4 years of failure, so it wasn't all bad. Happy New Year to all.

2020 was such a horrible year. I remember it like it was yesterday.

I'm bummed because I have zero miles for the year.

Ya I lost most of my eye sight in 2020, so good reddens to bad rubbish.

Got myself to the best shape I've been in since the military, finally made it to the top of Glacier Peak solo, hiked a lot, camped a lot. Got pounded with snow in Leavenworth right before Christmas. I had a great time in 2020

More people got to the outdoors....that could be seen as a benefit. More potential advocates for preserving the outdoors!

Art is an adventure.

My hiking buddy bought me a Hennesey Hammock for Christmas so looking forward to trying it out this year. I was skeptical at first but when I tried it was so comfortable, like floating on air. Main trip I want to do this year is the Wind River Range, specifically a loop trip around Ross lake. If all goes well hopefully a trip to the Beartooths or the Mission Mountain Range.

Go placidly amid the noise and waste, and remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.

Hmm, Ross lake in the Winds...... The internet says it’s pretty awesome. I’m planning a combination of canoe trips and hiking out that way, if possible. I am dying to canoe Green River Lakes.

Don’t forget to get an underquilt. Sleeping pads shift around too much. And a top quilt is a good idea as well, plus a primaloft/down jacket. I have an ENO setup and really enjoy it. Nice to have along on day trips as well. Being off the ground is really nice. And you can even camp on a hillside.

I'll miss 2020. I've been working at home since March, which is saving my car from a premature death. No more commuting 70+ miles each day round trip. And the general madness has stepped down a couple of notches. The only bummer is that all good outdoor gear has been sold out.
