Garmin has made (is about to release) power meters in SPD and SPD-SL. They've been making them for Keo fort most of a decade. (SPD is a mountain bike system, the others are road pedals.)
They use a coin cell battery like Vectors. No pods.
They're too expensive at $1,200 (for bilateral measurement) but all electronic things come down in price over time. The new SRM SPDs are the same price.
Thought some in here would find this interesting, more in terms of how things are progressing than to buy a pair. Pedal based meters were a pipe dream ten years ago, they and crank based seem to have supplanted hub meters.
It would be cool to have these inputs but unfortunately I just can't justify the cost...don't even use HRM at this point, just a Garmin radar light system and old school speedo. Thanks for making me drool tho.
