One of my favorite things about my Lowa boots is the locking lacing system that allows you to dial in the tension differently between the upper and lower areas of the boot.

Is there another way of doing this so that I can explore other makes? Maybe it's an aftermarket eyelet or a lacing style?

You can do this by tying a knot overhand or square between the laces on the top and bottom sections. Square knot completely isolates them.

Many lacing styles https://www.fieggen.com/shoelace/lacingmethods.htm

Malachai, I have never seen such an extensive lacing list. Very cool. I do "gap", others often.
