Well the Zags didn't blitz UCLA to start the game the same way they did USC. We got us a ball game. Trading buckets midway thru the 1st half. Zags D can't get stops. Ayayi is keeping the Zags in it just about by himself.

UCLA is playing 5 on 8. The refs are clearly favoring the Zags.
OK, maybe the Bruins are getting some calls.

Not one of those games w/ 1 or both teams struggling to score like we've seen quite a few of in the Tourney. Both teams are sizzling, shooting close to 60%. 45-44 Zags at the half.

Jaquez and Timme are two of the most unlikely looking star players you'll find. Both really appear like they should be playing in a rec league at a gym in your neighborhood.

Even Raftery commented on the “mystery foul” on Jules Bernard. Now he has four.

This has been one heck of a game. Too bad only one of them can win. Championship Game will have a hard time topping this one.

Overtime. Both teams had a chance to win it at the end.

This was already an incredible game, but then that finish. Holy cow!
Suggs just entered legendary status at GU.

Defensive battle. Arizona had a chance to win it on the last possession, didn't get a good look, almost went in though. Stanford wins 54-53. Championship #3 for them but first since 1992. Stanford has Russell Wilson's younger sister, twins from Spokane, and a player from Portland area, so the Northwest is well represented on their team.

I think UCLA would have won except for his foul trouble. Gonzaga did not play their best game and Kispert has been a bit off the last couple of games. On two late in the game possessions, Iyayi went one on one twice throwing up floaters that missed when he should have passed. The passing is typically what separates them from most teams.
Gonzaga did what they had to do but were very lucky to win this game. If they don't play better Monday they will likely lose. On the last possession of UCLA's before the end of regulation, if Juzang just pulls up and shoots a 10-12 footer, it's likely game over. But he got greedy and tried to draw a foul and Timmie taking the charge was a great play on his part.
Suggs blocked shot of Riley's who is what 6" taller was an amazing play and then to run the ball down, push it up and fire a 50' bounce pass on point to Timme for the dunk was one of the greatest plays I have ever seen. That was Magic, Jordan, and Bird special.

You have to recognize UCLA played just about as good as a team can possibly play, and still couldn't quite beat the Zags. Can Baylor play that well? Both teams were remarkably efficient, their points per possession were off the charts.

Funny, I have been skeptical of Suggs outside shooting ability and then he makes THAT shot!
Kinda reminds me of Jason Kidd, before he entered the NBA I said he wouldn't be a star because of his lack of outside shooting ability...wrong again!
I think Baylor will play every bit as good as UCLA and maybe better, Mitchell is an NBA caliber defender-player and they have many more weapons as well. I expect a similar game as the last and hopefully the Zags can pull it out.
