Hi everyone, I'm looking to go backpacking around mid july with 3-4 of my friends (including myself) for about five days and wanted to check this forum to see if any local with a car would be interested in joining us or just carpool. We are all college aged, and in good shape. We don't have any permits unfortunately as we are only planning this a month in advance, but found this loop trail: SPIDER GAP/BUCKCREEK PASS, https://www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/spider-gap-buck-creek-pass-loop - that looks really stunning and easy to just sign up rather than going through a permit process.(this one is in the glacier peak wilderness and begins at phelps creek trailhead) I am reaching out to this group as we are interested in backpacking for several days and don't want to rent a car if at all possible, as we would be leaving the car and only using it two days. Looking into other options in the cascades or other areas seemed equally difficult to reach without a car, and have an additional obstacle of getting a permit when it may be unavailable. We may end up looking at other states or areas like in california or oregon. Any advice on this matter would be much appreciated.
