Does anyone have tracks from Foss lakes to Tank Lakes? Mostly how to get up Iron Cap from Chetwoot lake, then how to get down from there to Tank? Seems like that gives several people trouble.
Thanks.

Are you fishing? If so you may want to take a lower route.
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,I took the one less traveled by. And that has made all the difference.

IIRC the route between Chetwoot and Iron Cap is pretty straightforward. Between Iron Cap and Tank Lakes is not. Taking a lower elevation route can avoid some spicier choices, but almost certainly gets into some serious brush-bashing.

The lower route from Azurite lake does involve steep hillside with brush. But once you can make out the talus slope below head for the lowest edge. You will find a footpath to follow.
You will come to a tarn pass on right side cross brush lined creek into the forest. Pick up footpath on a prominent bench. Leads to narrow valley below iron cap pass.

You could try zooming in on the Google aerial to see if you can spot those way trails. If so, you can collect coordinates.

Likely not visible. Footpath exists between edge of talus and vegetation. Easy to follow.
