Two nights at Sand Point. Looking at Recreation.gov, there are almost no reservations available anywhere in the Olympics for the rest of the summer! We weren’t able to get reservations for Cape Alava, but we were able to book a Sunday and Monday night at Sand Point.
Note that the Ozette ranger station is still closed from the pandemic. There are no walk-up reservations, and bear cans are required but not available for rent there.
We hiked up the coast to Wedding Rocks and checked out the petroglyphs. Saw eagles, herons, seals, and sanderlings. Other campers reported seeing a bear but fortunately we didn't! Awesome views and fresh air!

The water has tannins that make it look weird but it tasted fine.
^ looks good.
Unfortunately, that image of the tents tells me that the valiant efforts made one day by Matt and Bill Baccus and a crew of volunteers - working on a revegetation project there at Sand Point in the tent sites - didn't accomplish the intended objective.
Were all of the tent sites there denuded of vegetation like that as well?
Were the "corrals" they constructed out of driftwood still extant?
The water, dyed by the tannin in the tree roots, is okay to drink. Now and then you'll hit a stream where it has a weird taste, but it hasn't killed me yet.

I have heard the mermaids singing, each to each."

We were in one of the larger group sites. The other sites were much more compact. We saw a couple of designated restoration areas that were being left alone and were growing back. There are always some driftwood structures on the beach but we didn't see any in the camp areas. Overall the campsites were in good shape considering the heavy use they get.
