Nice outfits. Of course, even had they been dressed in Glad garbage bags, they would have still sold millions of recordings.

Touron is a nougat of Arabic origin made with almonds and honey or sugar, without which it would just not be Christmas in Spain.

Air Supply was way better....even the Bee Gees.

Go placidly amid the noise and waste, and remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.

Time to revive the thread after 6 years of hibernation in light of the return of Abba! https://www.theguardian.com/music/2021/sep/02/abba-reunite-for-voyage-first-new-album-in-40-years party.gif rockband.gif bricks.gif eck.gif prod.gif For newer members and old-timers alike, here's your chance to visit the (in)famous Abba thread; well worth it for Touron's opener, nostalgia vibe, David's link to Waterloo moving lips, particularly timely right now, as well as Quark/Kim and others' responses. Apparently some people thought that Abba sucks! Who knew? uhh.gif Here's some NEW music with appropriate titles and lyrics. Let's see if some people's hearts have softened with the years. rolleyes.gif

From the article: "ABBAtars" rotf.gif ykm.gif For a few minutes I thought we might get to see a quartet of 70 year olds in jumpsuits. hockeygrin.gif ABBA: the IKEA of pop music. ** doof.gif **edit: or more accurately, ABBA is to pop music like IKEA is to quality furniture.

I worked a booth at Canoecopia, a 3-day consumer paddling expo in Madison WI, and the booth across from us played ABBA nonstop for all three days. 18 years later I still have nightmares.

^^^ Has John Keister moved to SoCal and started up a new sketch comedy show with some of the old Almost Live crew ? Because that gal looks a lot like Nancy Guppy. clown.gif

According to one Internet source, Jim Henson tried to get ABBA on the Muppets show, but they couldn't coordinate their schedules. However, there are these substitutes:

Vindicated: show or prove to be right, reasonable, or justified. Hey Abba fans, even Dave Grohl is with you and expressed a desire to play drums with them. tongue.gif
