What is this? I found it up on the boulder field between Lake Ann & Fortune Peak. At first I assumed it was some sort of backcountry skiing sled but it's made of permeable mesh and the metal frame would likely bite into the snow if that were true. So what is it then? It was pretty lightweight, but not light enough for me to carry out. Sorry

Looks to me like part of a snowmobile? I know people have mesh hoods for better airflow.
