I'm out in the woods all the time analyzing traffic patterns of animals. I cover alot of ground. Looking for fresh tracks & scat. It's been alot of fun Google Earth has helped me discover some promising terrain. Water is key I've found that most animals are creatures of habit. All kinds of species will use a single game trail over & over Elk "haul outs" on river banks are very distinct ( ancient ) and used over many, many years during the elk migrations.
