FYI. Some things are on sale, you get to take 20% off one thing that isn't, except expensive things. smile.gif

...and skip the 10% member dividend. So it's really just 10% off. Some things. With the likelihood that you'll also buy other stuff you don't need at full price.

My shoes wore out and needed replacing. REI had them at my door the day after I ordered them. Amazon said it would take 4 days.

My feet wore out and need replacing. Neither Amazon or REI had them in stock. clown.gif

I could use one new foot, and two new shoes. REI gets shoes here in two days, plus with the kickback, I save a whole twelve dollars.

What's especially fun about sock puppets is that you can make each one unique and individual, so that they each have special characters. And they don't have to be human––animals and aliens are great possibilities

Also, Eddie Bauer is doing a half off sale. Probably excludes things. Edit to add: the code doesn't work on their Microtherm jackets or vests.

Ok, everyone, I don't know how any of us ever lived without this, but we all need one. https://www.rei.com/product/194315/ooni-pizza-ovens-karu-12-multi-fuel-pizza-oven Which one of you volunteers to carry it for me on my next backpacking trip?

That was actually discussed here a few years ago! Sorry but I'm sticking with my gorp, quinoa, and nori mix.

Got me some fancy Ark Ter Yx hiking pants with unused divy and gift cards. They fit nice but no reinforced bum which is a bummer. Hoping $140 also could equate to 140 months. Does this mean I need to hike and do trip reports again? Anyone wanna join of 100 lowest summit bids 2022?

After parking near Snoqualmie today I need 4 tires, because AWD. I just bought 4 tires about a month and a half ago. I got the insurance on them. smile.gif Still have to pay to have them mounted, I think. Well, spending money is fun, this has been a blast. huh.gif

Speaking of REI. When did #optoutside morph into "Let's cyber save all Cyber Week long"?

They closed their physical stores again this year on black friday. To me the #optoutside thing was a response to some retailers doing extreme things like opening on Thanksgiving evening which negatively impacted their employees ability to actually celebrate the holiday. Online orders don't have the same issues since most of the time you can just wait a couple of days to ship things.
