Montana clinched a playoff berth? That surprises me. Montana St. and Sacramento St. are leading the Big Sky at 7-0. The Griz are tied w/ 2 other teams (Eastern Washington, UC Davis) at 5-2. I don't see how the Big Sky could get 5 teams in the post season, and w/ Montana in a 3 way tie don't see how they could've clinched anything.

The FCS has a 24 team playoff. A perusal of the FCS football sites says Montana is most likely in and playing next week for seeding. SR

Interesting. Eastern better get in, they beat both Montana and UC Davis.

Griz beat their in state rivals 29-10 to knock the Bobcats out of first place. Sacramento St. won today to claim the Big Sky crown. Eastern Washington looks to be in control in their game. Can the Big Sky get 4 teams in the post season? If they don't, who gets left out?

Well well well, the Big Sky did get 5 teams in the playoffs. Sacramento St., Montana St. and Montana are all seeded and a get a first round bye. Eastern Washington and UC Davis have to play first round games. If both win, they have to play a familiar foe--UCD against Sacramento St. and EWU against Montana. North Dakota St. has won 8 of the last 10 Championships, so as always you have to assume they are the team to beat.

UC Davis lost, Eastern Washington won in the 1st Round. Linfield from McMinnville, OR won a 2nd Round game (D2 or D3, I'm not sure which).

Got a shootout going on in Missoula. Eastern up 21-13 and it's early in the second quarter.

Griz have taken control, up 44-28 late in Q3. On a 31-7 streak over not quite 2 quarters.

57-35 w/ a couple minutes left. What a beat down. Barriere has thrown for almost 500 yards and 4 TDs, that would be enough offense to win most games. Not this one.

Okay, that's something I've never seen before. The EWU QB had 80 passing attempts. His arm probably fell off. 530 yards and 5 TDs and it wasn't nearly enough. 57-41 Montana won. EWU outgained Mont. about 600 to 350 yards, but sometimes that doesn't really matter. It's not like Eastern had a bunch of turnovers, can't quite figure out what happened in this one. Does look like Montana got a bunch of yardage in kick returns.

Montana St. won today 26-7. Big Sky already has 2 teams in the quarterfinals and could get one more w/ Sacramento St. yet to play.
