Winter has not been particularly good to us here in E.Ore.
That changed on 21 April. On this day there was 15cm's of fresh
on a firm base. Overcast skies. No wind. It could not have been more perfect
Jeanni had new mountaineering skis. And was hot to try them.
The early birds (of which Jeanni is not one of them) had already broken trail
by the time we got there. Which was fine by me
We up hilled almost to the summit (which was windblown)
Then cruised pow all the way back
The trees were much closer as we got lower. But no problem.
Once back at the truck. I went about half way back up for another
run. Just couldn't pass up all that untracked snow.
Live every day like you will die to-marrow.
For some day that will be true.
