Came across these tracks on Granite yesterday.

Right around 4,300 ft., just below the tree line. Up to 3+ feet between tracks. We've seen signs of River Otter in the vicinity. Not sure if there are Fisher in the area. Any guesses?

How about these? Taken near Machu Pichu on FS-9023. Sun was setting.

I've sent my shots along to the Cascade Carnivore Project. It will be fun to hear what they have to say. Some good information on Wolverines here, https://cascadeswolverineproject.org/wolverine-tracks/

Otter prints near 5,500' above Icicle River drainage

I changed my mind. I'm going with Fisher. Looks like weasel family print & too large to be mink or pine marten

A few years ago I captured a fisher on a trail camera about 23 and a half miles ( as the crow flies ) north of Granite

Fox tracks
Fox tracks
Came across these in the Teanaway the other day. I think it's a Fox. I think? Also, I heard back from the Cascade Carnivore Project, they let me know that the photos (posted above) are a Black Bear. (?) That's not what I expected to hear. Guessing my shots were misleading in some way.

River Otter? If the snow is halfway firm they will take several bounding steps and then belly flop on the snow - sliding several feet. Biologists call it dot dot dash and this is not just a momentary fling but an ongoing method of travel. I have followed tracks like this for miles on frozen lakes with snow cover (in northern Wisconsin). Vid (not mine) below. Late winter/spring is a great time for otter watching as they are often on top of the ice and relatively easy to spot (i.e. brown on white background)

Canine for sure I'm not saying those aren't fox because they could be. I haven't captured any fox on trail cameras in the Teanaway. I asked a biologist about that. He's been placing cameras in the Teanaway for many years and had only seen 1. I'm guessing those are most likely coyote. I get coyotes on cameras everywhere and often in the Teanaway. As for the identification from Cascade Carnivore Project. If those are black bear, then it's a cub. I don't see any hind foot prints in your images. Front and rear prints of bears ar distinctly different. Those you posted are similar to front foot of a black bear but are small for a adult bear. Can't imagine a cub out all by itself without another set of prints nearby.

Thats what I thought at first. Coyote. The stride seemed to short. I followed them along the County Line Trial for maybe fifty yards. We were lucky enough to get pretty close to this fox on Silver Peak (Snoqualmie Pass) last summer.
Cascade Red Fox.
Cascade Red Fox.
Cropped quite a bit.

I'm fairly certain I saw a red fox at the pass between Edds Lake and Alaska Lake about 10 years ago.

My first thought was "smallish black bear".
