I would like to attach an avatar but can't shrink my picture down that much. What am I doing wrong?

What software are you using and how are you resizing it, saving it, etc.?

I've been using Finepix. I click on image size and change the pixels of the width. The height automatically changes. It is easy to change down to 400 wide but the 125 won't work.

Asked the same question 'bout a month back, there is one freeware program called vicmans(google it) it will let you resize it to 125 by 150 pixels( about the same size as a average digital cameras view screen). Then save as-16 kb or less. up.gif

If you have windows XP, this is a convenient tool for resizing (it adds a resize option to the right click menu of windows file explorer). It will give you the standard resize options, and if you click on advanced it will allow you to resize to any width or height.
