Anybody heard of a Nordrum Mountain? Supposedly around Nordrum lake. Here is a link to a fire lookout site that lists a lookout on Nordrum mtn. TB Nordrum Mtn fire lookout

They probably lifted that entry straight out of Kresek's book. According to Kresek that lookout was in T24N R10E S16. The middle of that section is at these coords: 47.56296 121.54642 That's right about where the MidFork and Taylor come together. Your guess is as good as mine as to where that lookout might have sat.

That lookout was at about 1440' elevation on the bench NW of the Taylor River Bridge. As late as 1976 there were ceramic insulaters and scraps of wire leftover from the old field phones they used back then. There still may be traces of the old jeep track up to the site. On old maps, it is labeled "Nordrum" without the word "mountain". It was contemporary with the Camp Brown Guard Station. this picture was taken there.....
