http://www.pcta.org/meeting/index.html I dropped by one of these in Portland a few years ago, some interesting stuff, small and low key, saw some prototype tarp/tents, etc. Saw that it's in Seattle (Mtnrs clubhouse) this year, thought I'd pass it along if of interest to anyone. Looks like this time around it's a bit more bureaucratically / logistically painful, as the attendance fee (I don't remember one last time..) is quite high if you don't pre-register. But still, it's here, plenty of crazy long distance hikers, if you like that kind of crowd. See the link.
