Ah. Okay, Thanks, Tom. agree.gif One thing: you said,

Scrooge, it looks like you posted the URL of the webpage, not the picture. Right click on the picture (then properties) to get the URL.
Actually, I couldn't copy from the properties window (the copy function didn't work). I had to copy Flikr's "badge" (to get the photo address) and paste it on our site. ...................... Question. Does this move end the growth of our photo gallery? Or will the imported pics somehow get added in? The gallery has become one of our outstanding features and it would be a shame to have us "outgrow" it. David

The longer term plan is to make a gallery of all pictures posted, regarless of where the picture is hosted.

To anyone not using Flickr: get it! It's way better than some other site covered in banner ads (you know who you are). The batch "uploadr" they let you install is sweet as well. Just set the picture size you want to end up with one time, drag and drop your pictures, as many as you want at a time, and you're done. Then linking to them here is as easy as anything, a one-step process, described by Tom in the first post in this thread. I'm very lazy, so if I say something is easy, it's EASY. up.gif

Agree. I don't even bother clicking on a link with [you know what] in it.

Tom would you suggest Flicker over Fototime?

Yes, while I use fototime, I'm quite impressed with flickr, not to mention it's free.

I was able to copy and paste the website photo location but unable to embed a photo in a post on my Mac computer. There is no option for copy image location or select properties as indicated in the orginal post for this thread. Any Mac users out there who can tell me what I'm missing to embed a photo in a post? Since I can't find properties, I can't resize either.

You see the same buttons on a Mac. After you hit reply you'll see the "Img" button above the box where you type your text. You can click that and paste your URL, or if you hover your cursor it'll tell you the code to use. I'm on a Mac. Oh wait, you're talking about the properties at flickr. Just a minute, I'll check that out...

OK, now I see where Tom's instructions are confusing to a Mac user using flickr. Instead of looking under "properties" when you right click (or command-click if you only have one button) on the thumbnail look under "Image" and choose "Copy image address to clipboard." Then paste that address into your note and you're ready to go.

Thanks Brian. I thought Macs were supposed to make things easier. clown.gif Just to clarify, what browser is that? Opera? It may be different under every browser.

Actually, you'll want to resize before you upload. Can one of the Mac users confirm whether either of the flickr upload tools for Macs has an option to automatically resize at upload?

Oh, good question. It is different under every browser. Here's a run down on what to choose after a right click on the Mac browsers I happen to have installed. I don't have several, including Opera: Safari: Copy image address Omniweb: Image-->Copy image address to clipboard Firefox: Copy image location Shiira: Copy image location to clipboard Camino: Copy image location
