Warning! Snowmobile Content! On a recent drive up to Salmon La Sac, I stopped at Cascade Playtime to see what there rates were. The thought being that maybe in the winter one could ride a snowmobile and acccess trailheads to some different hiking spots. For their standard model, it's $150 on weekends for 9 hours, 9AM to 6PM, and half price on weekdays. Kind of expensive but less so if you have someone else to share the bill, assuming 2 can ride the standard model. It might be a fun way to see some different country.

It is a really great way to access trailheads. I bought a 2002 Polaris last year. Me and Ice Girl got alot of use out of it last winter. It was fun exploring along the Mountain Loop and saving the walk from the road closure at Deer Creek. Haven't had the chance to use it yet this year, but still hoping to. All the roads are still accessible. If it doesn't snow soon, I'm going to start wishing it was a watercraft!!! waah.gif BW smile.gif
