Little houses
The article talks about the growing square footage of houses in the U.S. As someone else said, "Starter Castles." I can't quite fathom what practical reasons there are for such large houses. A less than practical reason might be big house envy. The "system" also seems to be all about bigger, bigger, bigger, movin' on up to prove you've made it. Well, they can have it. Beside the larger amount of resources these behemoths use, they also shackle the owner down trying to keep the huge pile of sticks and chip board from deteriorating. Here's a couple of links for any Henry David types. One is a local guy on Whidbey. http://countryplans.com/ http://www.greenhomebuilding.com/small.htm Gary
