Just making a short report on a quick hike to Talapus Lake. Quick because Forest Service Road 9030 was clear of snow all the way to the trailhead, quick because there was no snow on the trail until jut before the Alpine Lake Wilderness Boundary, and quick because there was no more that a foot of snow at the lake.
