What are you waiting for? hockeygrin.gif We've made it even easier to post pictures via flickr now: 1) upload the image to flickr (don't forget to resize or set the option to resize at upload if you use one of the flickr upload tools) 2) just above where you post a message, enter your flickr username and click on the "Flickr Pics" button 3) click on the photos you want to include in your post That's it! No need to cut and paste the URL any more. Easy as pie. Did I mention, friends don't let friends use websh#ts? Am I the only who refuses to click on a link with the word websh#ts in it? hmmm.gif EDIT: we have enhanced the software to automatically thumbnail all pictures so you don't have to. You can even use the IMG tag for websh#ts images now.

Some of us have husbands who insist on buying waaaaaay more bandwidth than they could possible use, so we bother them until they upload our pictures. hockeygrin.gif Pasting the URL into the Img tags here is really easy. And I haven't blown the thumbnail thing yet (that I know of).

That is so cool! When I entered my flickr username in the box just above the text box, and clicked on the "flickr pics" tab, all my flickr pics popped up in a vertical side window on top of where the emoticons normally are. That enables me to add my pics to a post without switching back and forth between windows, just by clicking on a pic when I'm at the place I want the pic to appear. It's way easier than before, when I had to copy/paste the image location, which was still pretty easy. Here's a random shot for practice:

Yes, so sad. So many will never know how easy it could have been... Then again, they could always enter slugman, dicey1, tazz1, randy48, Dean99r, DonM, Mesahchie Mark, captain jack, Hiker Boy, naturealbeing, etc. in the box, click on the Flickr Pics button and pretend they are one of the cool kids. clown.gif

Yep, it worked, but you may want to resize your pictures before uploading or you'll eat thru your 20 MB flickr monthly upload limit very quickly. I recommend downloading one of the flickr upload tools and specify the option to resize automatically to 800 pixels before uploading - it's really convenient, makes uploading faster, and allows you to share a lot more photos.

thanks, yep i did their tools...but it doesn't downsize a photo enough for a good avatar I noticed, not without making it a thumbnail! using the link on this post page is very easy though!

peppersteak, are you left clicking on the choices (like you would an emoticon), or are you copying and pasting something? Anyone else have a problem with weird text showing up when you use the "Flickr Pics" button to post pictures?

I've been drag-and-dropping them into the post. I'll try clicking on one like an emoticon and see what happens:
And it works! doh.gif Thanks Tom smile.gif
