I'm working on a list of synonyms for the search engine (so it will treat certain words the same when someone does a search). This is primarily for trip report searches. I'm sure I've missed a few. Let me know if you notice anything. Note: the translated word is shown to the right. caves cave creek cr crk cr lake lk lakes lk lks lk loch lk lochs lk mount mt mountain mt mountains mt mtn mt mtns mt pts pt point pt points pt peaks pk peak pk pks pk road rd responcibility responsibility embarassedlaugh.gif responcible responsible winksmile.gif definately definitely tongue.gif

Thanks, the multi word synonyms could result in a big list and probably wouldn't be used in a trip report search so let's limit it to single words for now. Also, 1 character words are not indexed by the search engine so don't worry about things like N, S, E, W (or combinations like NW). The main thing is to let someone searching for Twin Lakes find it via... twin lk twin lakes twin lks twin lake twin loch twin lochs

I put the loch in there for certain lakes like "Loch Katrine" which many people refer to as Lake Katrine and just so happens to be near Twin Peaks. There are several other examples like this but hopefully everyone gets the idea.
