Have we lost a couple of emoticons. I just went looking for the standing figure nodding "yes", but there was a blank space where it had been. It also looked like the Hiking figure was missing, and maybe one other.
And now it looks like a couple more have succumbed.

When I clicked on "View More Emoticons" during the writing of this post, the ones you mentioned showed up momentarily as red X's, then went blank as you described. It might be a problem with another website, as I think that some of our emoticons are remote-hosted, basically links to emoticons rather than emoticons. There are only a few of those kind left, like this one:
