My son and I joined the WTA work party on Rattlesnake today. The new trail is shaping up very nicely and looks like it will be complete soon. Lots of moss-draped boulders line the trail. Nice.

Was you ever bit by a dead bee?

What is Rattlesnake like in the summer? Anyplace to park, walk, swim (can you swim in the lake?) How crowded is the trail?

It's a very popular place in the summer; I swam in it years ago and can't remember much about the parking facilities. I think some improvements have been made to the general area in the last few years besides of course the Ledge trail improvements. Go early or during the week to avoid a ton of people! Cool view of Rattlesnake Lake from the Ledge- you look almost straight down to it, and nice views especially northwest to Mt. Si and east towards Snoq. Pass.
