You never know what you're going to find on the way to the grocery store. En route to Thriftway I spotted an "estate sale" sign so stopped in and down in the basement in a dark corner for $2 each were a bunch of old maps. Then, they knocked the price down to $1 apiece. Couldn't believe it. Here's an old map (USGS Skykomish - 1905, reprinted 1950) that shows the old trail on Troublesome Creek which many of you have been interested in .... sorry I can't figure out how to convert it to web size without losing the sharpness of the image. The other maps I bought were: USGS 15-Minute Stillaguamish (1899), Sultan (1921), Snohomish (1895), The Brothers (1947), and Glacier Peak (1899). Karen

Karen, if you have a larger size that shows more detail, feel free to upload it - sometimes there's just no way around a large file size.

The UW library has these on line already. I think I posted the link here once before.

Good score Karen. Nothing like having the real things in you hands. The smell, the feel, the speculation of who used them and for what reasons. NN

It's pretty safe to say that if we take all of man kinds accumulated knowledge, we still don't know everything. So, I hope you understand why I don't believe you know everything. But then again, maybe you do.
