In the thread about the lodge fire I referred to an accident involving a teen being strangled on the rope tow. Below is the article written shortly his passing........ Puget Sound Newswatch Teen Was Strangled In Accident SNOQUALMIE PASS - A boy killed Friday at a private ski area at Snoqualmie Pass was strangled in the accident, authorities said. Jeremy Messina-Hale was using one of three rope tows at a ski lodge operated by the Seattle-based Mountaineers club when his jacket got caught in the rope and he was lifted into the air, according to Virginia Felton, executive director of the Mountaineers. An autopsy by the King County medical examiner's staff yesterday showed that was the cause of the 13-year-old Issaquah youth's death. He also suffered a broken neck. An office spokesman said Messina-Hale's clothing, after being caught in the rope tow mechanism, was tightened around his neck. Copyright (c) 1997 Seattle Times Company, All Rights Reserved.
