After just over a year, I returned to Big Four Ice Caves with the whole family... and we brought along another family of five for our 2006 Fathers Day Hike.
Four adults, five kids, perfect weather, good food and a great time!
There was a ranger at the trailhead and we learned they offer interpretive tours every two hours (4x/day) on the weekends. We didn't learn this until we had already done the hike and lunch, but I would have liked to learn more about the area and its history.
Upon our arrival at 9:45am I was surprised to see only one other car in the parking lot. At our 12:45 departure the lot was packed.
Thanks everyone for the comments. The conditions provided some great photos... about the opposite of what I captured last weekend.
So... I didn't really know if it was a Hosta or not but I thought it had a lot of Hosta charachteristics so that's what I called it.
If it's a False Hellebore does that mean it is not a Hellebore?
Jamin', you've perplexed me with your triple negative: "not incorrect" and "false".
Now I have to go research Hosta, Hellebore & Corn Lilly.
