Mid-April? OUCH!!!! I know it's a bad year but that is early!! The boyfriend and me had been up to Rainy Pass on Dec. 13th and it was closed the morning of the 14th. We have been up to the Ross Dam area about 4 times since then, and you can see how little snow is up there frown.gif

Look at that, bloody hell. IN the 76-77 season it REMAINED open! Washington Pass is at 5300 ft! And some people thought there was global warming NOW! Looks like April is normal. I think we can look forward to late March this year! TB

I checked out the site linked in my first post and found this: The North Cascades Highway is scheduled to reopen at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 14th barring unforeseen weather. The highway clearing operation has been completed. There may be intermittent closures over the next few weeks based on weather conditions. Here comes Spring!!
