The timing was great on this one! Easter Sunday -- the only day without rain, at least during the day. This was a Mountaineer hike -- we hiked about 3 miles to where the Greenwater Lakes trail meets the Lost Lake/Echo Lake junction. Trail is virtually snow-free to that point. Trail is in good condition. Not crowded yet. No bugs out yet except for gnats or no-seeums. Coltsfoot, trilliums, and Rattlesnake plantain are starting to show -- wild ginger, too (not in bloom). Not a flower walk but if you like rivers, water, reflections, mossy cliffs, deep gorges, big trees this is a nice hike and certainly an easy one. It's only about 200 feet gain to the lakes at the most. Karen Sykes
