Kudos to Sore Feet for his excellent web site devoted to waterfalls. My oldest daughter had a high school photography class project that she needed some shots of waterfall action. I went to the website and quickly put together a half day tour of the Lake Quinalt area and we visited 5 or 6 beautiful little waterfalls. The detailed location advice was spot on and allowed us to find some otherwise overlooked spots. Good timing for the little ones since the foilage hadn't fully developed to the point of obscuring the view. Water flow wasn't too high, but not too low either. Great advice on photography techniques as well. One tip I could have used was to be sure and bring extra batteries. Two $10 photo cells at the Lake Quinalt Lodge store put a bite in our refreshment plans. I guess I'll chalk it up to the price of admission to one of the most eclectic stores I've encountered. Nice to hear some jazz music (accompanied by intermittent singing of the proprietor) with some bite to it instead of the normal gift shop muzzak!

"Logging encourages the maintenance of foilage by providing economic alternatives to development."

Glad my site has some practical use... dizzy.gif I can also attest to the middle-of-nowhere photo emergency putting a dent in yer wallet. I shelled out 6 bucks for a single roll of film last year in Marblemount because I forgot to check to see if I needed more before I left. My wallet is definitely looking forward to going digital. agree.gif
