One of the brillant conversations I had w/ some friends on the trail this weeekend was:
When does a hike become a climb? Or does it?
What is hiking? What is climbing?
Is it only when we use rope that it is climbing? Or is an elevation thing? Or neither. Do you have to be on a "rock face?"
Is hiking just a "walk in the park?"
