Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone has hiked to Monte Cristo recently. I'd like to go in there on Saturday, and am wondering if I should take my bike for the road, or if there is still too much snow. Thanks! --Michael

From the trip reports it sounds like there is no snow on the way to Goat Lake so maybe the same holds for Monte Cristo.

I was up the street last week on Hall Peak and didn't have significant snow until 2900 feet. When in doubt about snow I often take my bike and ride until I can't ride anymore. I am going back to Hall Peak on Saturday to try and tease out the approach one more time.
