Found this old post-card at a flea market -- Cedar Lake as it once was. No date but it was put out by the Hopf Brothers, Importers, Seattle but it was made in Germany. Karen

That's a picturesque lake. Here is a virtual tour of the watershed and a good article on it. Sore Feet, check out the shot of Cedar Falls in the slide show.

My aunt lives right at the base of the ledge. Some years ago I grabbed a bike and snuck into the watershed. Wow the cedar river is so crystal clear up there. Found some sheds housing explosives as well, that was somewhat freaky. So cedar falls does exsist? But it looks like a creek and not part of the cedar river,oh well that water looks great. smile.gif The ledge is still the easiest hike around with the biggest scenic payoff.

i used to live in selleck, on the east side of the watershed. there were several times that my neighbors and i would jump the gate and hike down the road to the river for some views. it is a very beautiful area, just be careful and don't get cought.... every morning when i would leave for work there would always be at least 2 logging trucks lined up at the gate.. logging trucks and chainsaws are allowed in the watershed but hikers aren't??
