I know lots of people will say " Oh no, Lake Serene again." However we think it still remains a beautiful spring-conditioning hike. Yesterday's weather felt almost like summer. Salmonberry, Bleeding Hearts, Tall yellow Violets and Trillium on the way. Lake is beginning to melt, and not a minute passed by without the thundering of avalanches.

pica
I read your trail report and decided to hike up today. The constant avalanches are great and the trail is an easy spring hike. I snagged a photo of a pica on the trail, this little guy Just stood there and let me get a close up. up.gif
