I did a hike/snowshoe up the Walt Bailey trail on Wednesday. There are a couple of nasty blowdowns, and the snow depth is incredible. There is 8-10 feet of snow at only 3,500 ft in the meadows before the cliff ascent to Cutthroat Lakes. A full report has been sent to WTA.org, it should be posted soon. The snowshoeing in the meadows was excellent, totally pristine and lonesome. I will post a picture or two tomorrow. I would do it now, but the camera is out in the car and I'm too tired to go get it.
