ONRC invites you to join us in giving back to Oregon wilderness! Monday, August 21 - Tuesday, August 22 WHERE: Cool Creek Trail near Hunchback Mountain in the Mt. Hood National Forest. (6 mi. round trip, 2,000 ft. elevation gain.) Come see why this incredible area bordering Salmon-Huckleberry Wilderness deserves the permanent protection that Wilderness designation provides. We will hike in three miles and camp overnight between the trailhead and Devil's Peak, then clear brush and restore the trail on our way out the next day. You supply your camping gear and food, we'll supply the restoration tools and guides. Carpools will leave Portland at 8am and return by 6pm the next day. To RSVP or to learn more about ONRC's trail restoration projects - including weekend adventures- please contact Christine Caurant at 503-283-6343 x 224 or cc@onrc.org with your name, phone, e-mail, and number in your party and Christine will be in touch. Oregon Natural Resources Council: Working to protect and restore Oregon's wildlands, wildlife, and waters since 1974. Visit us at www.onrc.org.
