I was wondering if the OVER BARING, OPPRESSIVE, HEAVY HANDED, EVER CONTROLLING hand of government has gated the road yet? If anyone has been up there I'd appreciate a note. TB

I called the ranger station about this recently and was told that they hadn't made a decision on this yet, but that they would this month.

So does this mean that the road has been graded recently? It wasn't as of about a month ago (I'm assuming it'll have to have happened by Memorial Day weekend).

BPJ If you go to Crawford this weekend, please let me know where the snowline is. I don't remember what kind of southern exposure the lake has, but the talus fields leading up to it face south biggrin.gif I can't go this weekend (Party on Sat.) but have tried unsuccessfully to take my old boss up there twice. First, we got stopped because of road work. Then he got stung by a bee (he's allergic). Maybe the third time is a charm! We hould take your rafts and do some version of that loop we did from the end of the Middle Fork before it closes. I can probably get a Friday or Monday off so we have three nights.

Dante, I wont be doing it this weekend as I'm helping my brother move into his new house. Crawford is still way covered I'm sure. I dont have a vehicle now that can get me to the end of the road anyway! Unless i borrow my brothers ranger! I like the idea of the loop. TB

You know, BPJ, "commie bastards" is a phrase that really doesn't make much sense. The commies considered marriage a bourgeois institution. I don't think they officially stigmatized out of wedlock births. As a result, I'm not sure one could be a "commie bastard", officially anyway . . . BTW, I'm not a commie, but I am a bastard wink.gif
