i was just been thinking about my up coming climb of this moutain. i have climbed in alaska, but i have never been up 14,000, i wanted to know how hard is the climb going to be. and what is the toughest thing about rainier, thanks for any info

I think I gets really tough after 12,000 feet. Not complicated, just tough from the oxygen loss. I tell people when I take them up it is more physically demanding than a marathon--and be mentally prepared.
