NICE day for a hike after yesterday hikin in the fog and cold the sun was SO nice..... ok call me silly but i get bored with walking up an old logging road next to a river for 4 miles this was the only LONG downside to the hike because once we got the the falls and the lil lake/pond it was so worth it..... this hike gets rated a blah for the hike up but the destination was a definite "WHOOOOOO-WHOOOOOOO"

Joe, it was just a weee bit cold to swim! We're thinking skateboard with a float and a pair of aqua socks next time..I've been a few places that have water flowing over smooth rock and it's always a blast to slide down.

I know a few people in the forums that have climbed *up* the falls, to the top of the bit that you can see from the lake, but the falls keep going for another 1000 vertical feet up the mountainside, and I doubt anybody has gone all the way up there....yet (it's on my list ).
