There is a sign up near the Bonanza Queen Mine...near Deer Creek Rd...the sign says warning rabbid bats..well that is part of what it says...There is a whole lot of signs saying danger and Private Property keep out...sheesh I thought that the Forrest Service bought that property...Any ways...

Gray it's funny about those signs. Most have been stolen so often over the years - the ranger station in Forks will give people a paper copy of the sign. It's funny when people color in the bathing suits on them. The death of a cousin of my ex co-worker prompted the posting of those signs in the 1960s. On a lighter note, here are my favorites - I've posted them before, so bear with me.

Gotta wonder who had the brilliant idea to combine 3 foot alligators and a kiddie festival. Veal for the gators hungry.gif : Then there's Penders Canyon. Read about boulders hurtling down the canyon and landing right where you're standing. Nothing like standing around like a sitting duck, hey?
Rock slide sign

And Forgotten Mountain river tracts. What was forgotten - the mountain, or the river tracts? From the looks of this sign, the whole area was forgotten (the gate was locked, too).
Forgotten Mountain - amen

Sorry I don't have a picture: but in Naches there used to be a sign advertising "Restaurant Gas." And along the Tieton River nature trail "Tumbling Musturd." (that one has since been changed)

"Diamonds are a girl's best friend my arse. A girl's best friend is a stout pair of tramping boots. Umm, maybe it's a nice reduction sauce. Urrr, perhaps it's a nice pub just down the road. OK, so it's really all three. But freakin' diamonds?!"

I took this one on a trip to Arkansas around 1999. I thought it was funny considering the conditions.

Attn: Summit 23. Didn't you take a good sign photo on Heliotrope Ridge this year?

Was you ever bit by a dead bee?

Looks like the one I pass on SR 530 twice a day. I think they just changed it tho.

It's pretty safe to say that if we take all of man kinds accumulated knowledge, we still don't know everything. So, I hope you understand why I don't believe you know everything. But then again, maybe you do.
