For anybody interested, there will be a free presentation tonight @ 7pm at the flagship REI regarding climate change and its implications for the Cascades. Two scientists will be leading the presentation. If I lived closer, I would go just to see the before/after photographs of the glaciers in our area. For those of you residing in the north end of the sound, Richard Gammon (UW prof.) will be speaking on the same subject on Thursday @ 7pm at Village Books in Bellingham. I will be in attendance and hope some of you can make it. Both events are headed by the North Cascades Institute. Further Information

Who would have thought SCL would be so famous one day?

Touron is a nougat of Arabic origin made with almonds and honey or sugar, without which it would just not be Christmas in Spain.

I've noticed the South Cascade Glacier is one of the most commonly cited in our area for climate change. Poor thing.
