I couldn't stand sitting around the house, my legs were still sore from last weekends backpacking trip, so me and the kid headed up I-90, hoping (HA!) that the rain would stop. It didn't We tried hiking Snow Lake Trail but I gave up at a rather fast moving water crossing-I figure we'll come back in 2 weeks. Still it was a nice warm-up, we did about a mile and a half. No way did I want to go home, so we crossed over and headed up the PCT to Beaver Lake and Lodge Lake. Was a nice hike in-the rain had tampered down. On the way back the fog started coming in, and wow, that was cool and spooky! Crested back up by Beaver Lake, and the fog/clouds just encircled us. Still it was a nice hike. Be forewarned of the boot and gaiter sucking mudholes just past Beaver-I went up halwway to my knees!!
