I would probably listed to KMPS on the morning commute, but there isn't enough music--just DJ's and commercials. I like Willie Nelson as well. Country has it's share of crying beer songs. "1000 Light Beers Ago"--please, not good. "There's a Tear in My Beer"--okay. "Long Neck Bottle, Let Go of My Hand"-- lol.gif lol.gif

I dug out my Gene Watson "Back to the Fire" cd today. The first song on it is the best and a *real* gem of a song, "Don't Waste it on the Blues." The short fiddle solo towards the end really stands out and I checked the credits to see who did it. It's done by local fiddle legend, Mark O'Connor. He does studio backup for other country musicians to, so if you hear some good fiddling, check the credits!

Don't forget, if you think you may like "music beyond the bounds of good taste", try 90.7 on Sat noon - 4. here's what I heard last week ballad of gumby the viagra song t bone talkin woman got a hot dog heart wild wood weed lizzie borden rag mooseturd pie ghostriders in the sky hank w sr, don't remember the song thirty point buck the bricklayer the iceman little nash rambler folsom prison blues the snit i've been everywhere won't go huntin w'ya jake, but I'll go chasin' wimmin and about 2-3 more hours after that. If ya like weird and wonderful I challenge you to pick an afternoon chore and put moscowitz on and not bust out laughing at least once.

Have listened to moscowitz a few times and some of the stuff you hear is--well--truly amazing. How the heck did some of those songs ever get recoreded. We will never know of course, and perhaps it is better that way. lol.gif lol.gif clown.gif on a sadder note http://dailynews.yahoo.com/fc/entertainment/waylon_jennings "Where does it go, the good Lord only knows..." - Honky-Tonk Heroes

And speaking of KEXP and country music, you might check out Shake the Shack with Leon Berman the self proclaimed "Proctologist of Rock an Roll" playing country, boogie, rythem and blues Friday nights at 6:00. It's outrageous.
