Shouldn't we have a POLL first to see if the membership wants a group hug?

Yes the economy IS back on track. The market is up 900+ points in the last year. I never subscribed to the bad economy hub-a-lou anyway.
And, the comedian is Mr. Papster!

I'll let this go for the sake of welcoming you back, but I reserve the right to berate you for it later.

Pappy, I didn't take you for the touchy, feely type.

You're mistaking the securities market for the economy. Unfortunately, so are a lot of people including a lot of executives who choose to run a stock, while pretending to run a business. To get a better feel for the economy (as opposed to the securities markets) go poke around at http://www.access.gpo.gov/congress/eibrowse/broecind.html
As far as the markets go, Whoopee! The S&P 500 is back where it was in 1998
We have 7.3% unemployment in Washington State, BPJ. Do you think all those people just got tired of working? Many of them just had the misfortune of working for executives who were running a stock instead of a business when the bubble burst.
End of rant.
